For our telecommunication customer, we are searching for an Andriod developer

The consultant will work in a team of 4-5 developers, developing software for the Android TV-based set-top box which is the main TV box offered by the telecommunication customer in the Norwegian market. The team works closely with other technical teams; UX/Design, API/backend, Broadcast/operation, and the teams developing the other TV clients (mobile apps and web TV)

Android developer responsibilities:

• Develop clean and well-architected code base
• Apply best software development practices
• Refactor and optimize legacy code
• Write Unit, UI, and integration tests
• Work closely with product and design team to deliver high-quality applications and frameworks on the Android TV Operator-based GMS platform
• Improve our processes and product quality, keeping us up to date with the latest proven technologies (not bleeding edge)
• Thrive on taking ownership and doing whatever it takes to deliver results

Requirements:

• 3+ years hands-on professional Android development experience
• Video streaming, player, and OTT technologies
• Excellent knowledge of Java and Kotlin
• Deep knowledge of Android fundamentals, latest Android software technologies, and best practices
• Good communication skills and the ability to work productively in a fast-paced team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong analytical skills Independent and self-motivated with a passion for learning and creating new products
